We’re based right in the heart of Southern Africa’s most frequented destination: the City Bowl in Cape Town.
The City Bowl, so called because it’s surrounded by Table Mountain and Signal Hill on three sides, is in itself a reason to visit South Africa. It has many of the trappings and conveniences of a modern city but unlike many colonial city centres, it has a distinct lack of the ubiquitous Western chain stores. In large part it has retained several tiny and very specialized shops, eateries, galleries, theatres, hotels and bars that would simply not survive in a pressured rental environment in a modern industrialized city. This makes it a joy to live in: most buildings are less than four storeys tall and traffic is slow and meandering.
We’re in Tamboerskloof, a residential district just off Kloof Street (one of the trendiest streets in Cape Town). When we’re not in the office, we’re at the Blue Café just around the corner: come and find us for a coffee!
